September 5, 2017 marked our first day in our new school!  Staff and students were very excited to walk through the doors for the first time to start an exciting journey of learning in our new home.  The classrooms are spectacular, our new E.W. Farr Memorial Learning Commons will be a great place to enjoy many learning, collaborating and fun experiences with both our reading resources and our Maker Space equipment.  Our gymnasium is going to be a special place for our students to enjoy.  We are waiting with eager anticipation for it to be completed.  We are oh-so-close to being able to enjoy it!  The technology in all of our classrooms will enhance the learning experiences for all of our students.

In September, 2016 Wellington Heights Public School emerged as a coming together of two outstanding elementary schools in our community. Our population of 280 students is comprised of 135 primary students from E.W. Farr Memorial Public School and 145 junior/intermediate students from Pelham Centre Public School. We are now the home of the Wellington Heights Huskies and couldn't be prouder of the logo selected by our students.

The new site of WHPS is nestled just inside of the village of Fenwick on the former E.W. Farr Memorial Public School site in the village of Fenwick.  Our new school colours boast teal, orange, and grey.

At Wellington Heights Public School, we are happy to provide a rich educational experience for our students including access to many extracurricular opportunities.  Our students actively participate in a variety of sports: soccer, volleyball, basketball, 3-pitch, badminton, floor hockey, cross country and track and field. We also love to sing for enjoyment and perform during assemblies and special events. We have a very active group of students participating in our itinerant music program: strings every Tuesday and winds every Thursday. Drama and Dance incorporating critical thinking skills, are enjoyed by our students in all grades. Parents and Grandparents volunteer in our school and we are pleased to have this continued support.

We have a group of parents that meet monthly at our School Advisory Council meetings.  They are an exceptionally hard-working team who work hard to add to our students' experiences and access to experiences here at school. Together, working with the school staff, we all strive to make Wellington Heights Public School a great place to be for all!
